Lake Nipissing is a bonofide fish-producing factory. Its highly oxygenated and fertile waters provide the perfect ecosystem to support a diverse population of sport fish. Known primarily for its fantastic walleye fishing, Lake Nipissing also boasts unrivaled bass and musky fishing along with a burgeoning northern pike fishery.

Some of Lake Nipissing's best fishing locations, at any time of year, can be found within a half hour boat ride of the resort. We'll show you where. Our immediate area has it all. There are many islands and reefs, steep dropoffs, shelves, flats, and shallow weeds and rocks. In the river you'll find deep holes, current areas, falls, and shallow weeds and timber, all locations where fish congregate.

Lake Nipissing is the fifth largest lake in Ontario with a surface area of 873.3 square kilometres or 337.2 square miles. As with any large lake, Lake Nipissing can get rough with a good strong wind. With prevailing winds out of the southwest, our location at the most southwestern point of the lake affords us sheltered fishing on all but the worst of days, not to mention the miles of calm water in the South River that is available to explore.

Lake Nipissing's size makes it a little intimidating at first so our rental boats come equipped with the latest electronics including GPS with Navionics Hotmaps, presenting the angler with a detailed view of the lake's bottom, aiding with navigation and locating fish holding structure with ease. We have one of the best fleets of rental boats on the lake!

Other species of note include jumbo perch in the 10 to 12 inch range and white bass. Both species can be caught in great numbers with little difficulty creating the perfect opportunity to introduce the sport of fishing to a child.

Whatever time of year you plan on paying us a visit or species you pursue, we are always happy to show you how, where and when to make your Lake Nipissing fishing experience a great one!

Filleting your catch will be a breeze when using the comfort of our screened-in and well-lit fish cleaning station. We provide our guests with two sinks, running water, a "waste freezer" and optional freezer services. It doesn't come much better than that.
